How to Obtain a Gemini AI API Key for Use in BulkWriter

Obtain a Gemini AI API Key

Gemini AI integration is available in BulkWriter.

To utilize BulkWriter's AI text generation features you will need a Gemini AI API key.

Obtain a Gemini AI API Key

  1. Navigate to the API Key Creation Page

  2. Create the API Key

    • Click on Create API Key.

    • Select an existing Google Cloud Project or create a new one and follow the on-screen prompts to obtain your API Key.

Set up Billing

To use Gemini AI, billing details must be provided.

  1. Navigate to the Billing Setup

  2. Configure Billing

    • Click Go to billing next to the generated API Key.

    • If a billing account is already linked, you will see the message “Billing account [name] is linked to this project”. No further action is needed.

    • If no billing account is linked:

      • Click Manage Billing Accounts.

      • Click Create Account.

      • Enter a name for the billing account and click Continue.

      • Enter payment details and click Submit and Enable Billing.

Add the API Key to BulkWriter Settings

  1. Navigate to Integration Settings

    • Open BulkWriter and go to Settings.

  2. Enter the API Key

    • In the Integration Settings screen, enter your Gemini AI API Key into the designated field.

    • Select an appropriate text model from the options available.

    • Click the Save button to apply the changes.
